More RI

Here are Tommy, Lisa and beautiful Sydney! Next is Marc and Tricia, The Beene's, Auntie Grace, Auntie April and cousin Hannah.

Piranha Team!

It was fun to watch Charles coach the Piranha's this spring! Don't know if baseball will be Max's thing but it was fun for now. Next up are Tennis and Basketball summer camps and soccer in the fall!

The Beene's hit the East Coast

We all had a fabulous time at The Pariseault's in RI! Especially Max who was thrilled to spend his days swimming in Uncle Dickie's pool and at the beach. He and Angela were inseparable while there unless he got to see his other cousins Gavin, Vicky, Hailey and Alexa. Hannah and Andrew were still in school and super busy with sports and friends but we enjoyed the time we got to spend with them. Cousins Richard and Collin came in for a very brief visit from New York to see the air show which turned out not to be the greatest for little kids....way too loud! We also got to see cousin Sydney who is just 6 months older than Vivian. Someday if we move to the East Coast I'm sure they will be great friends! Twelve cousins in all including Max and Viv!

The weather was good, mostly hot and humid and we got to experience a good East Coast thunderstorm on our last day. I found out Viv is quite the water bug. She loved being thrown into waves at the beach and jumping into daddy's arms in the pool. She is in the language explosion phase of toddlerhood and her new favorite phrase is.....babing suit on....babing suit on....

We tried to soak up all of the Rhode Island goodies we could....aweful awefuls, dells lemonade, lobster rolls, coffee milk, Allies donuts and clam chowder.

We stayed one night up in Portsmouth New Hampshire. Charles thought it amazing that we could hit 4 states in one day! RI, Mass, New Hampshire and Maine.

Max Graduates from Preschool

After four years of coop Max graduated yesterday for the last time before Kindergarten.  He helped me pick out the hat teacher Suzie is wearing as an end of year gift! I am the parent I am today because of coop. I have enjoyed it as much as he did and I will cherish the time together forever!

More Nature School Fun

The blog website has made some changes!

Here are some pictures of our last adventure to Golden Gardens with Nature School. We brought along Max's friend Jacob and had a good time in the sun and sand.

Vivian is talking up a storm and showering us with hugs and kisses. As I write this she is playing on the phone pretending to talk to dada. For the record I'd say she officially sleeps through the night. Bedtime is 7:30 and she gets up at 6-6:30am. PHEW...I think we are all getting along a little better as a result.

Max is playing Tball and Charles is his coach. He is also taking a storybook drama class. That ends soon then we are onto summer camps and adventures!

Bird to Frog

This week was a perfect week for Max to be his hammy self. At nature school the kids took turns in the center of a circle pretending to be something that hatched out of an egg. Max decided to be a frog but first he had to trick everyone and flap his wings to throw them off........it was so funny! He starts drama school this month and I can't wait to see how he is in his element.

The picture of the branches leaned against the tree was done by all the kids. It's supposed to be a nest.

Max also finally got his superstar week at school where he gets bring things from home everyday to share with the class.

Since Viv is screaming her head off refusing to nap I can't post as much as I'd like about her.

I think there are double the words we wrote for her vocabulary and she can put two words together at this point. Favorite two words......mama milk.......of course!

I might try some night weaning soon but like Max she is quite the happy nurser. It's been 17 months since I've had a full nights sleep so if we can night wean I'd be happy. She can go to town during the day for as long as she wants!

Vivian at 16 months

Just like her big brother, and maybe even more so, Vivian is a big talker. She communicates very well at 16 months, will answer most questions with a cute "yeah" or "no" and tries to say most things you ask her to. Like Max did at this age, if you ask here where the table, door, window, fridge, etc. are, she'll walk right over and point to it. She loves music and dancing, and will mimic you after you stop singing. Too cute. Here's her big list of words she regularly says at this point:

No
Yeah
Hi

Night night
Boots
"Nack" for snack
Ball
