A little man in touch with his emotions ...

Max is really showing signs of understanding and putting words and meaning to his emotions and feelings. A great example:
  • We're in the process of potty training and I was putting his Sponge Bob underoos on and I said "Now, make sure you pee-pee in the potty and not on the floor or couch." And he replied, "If I pee-pee in the potty, that makes me and daddy very happy!" I said, "That's right, Max!" and he said "When I pee-pee on the floor, it makes daddy sad. I want daddy to be kind of happy!" I was really taken aback by that ...
One other thing he said that was clever. I came home from work today, and he and Joi were sitting on the couch. I walked in and went to give him a kiss and he said instantly: "You need to go change your clothes and then you can come see us." He knows that's my normal routine when I come home from work and he was just reminding me, I guess ... such a helpful little rascal.

Max sings "The Wheels on the Bus"

Another one from the "Funny Things Max Says" file:
  • I asked Max what my name is, and he said "Chaws Beene." I asked what Mommy's name is and he said "Choi Beene." I asked him what GJ's name is and he said "Jooody." And when I asked what Paw-Paw's name is, he smiled real big and said "Paw-Paw is daddy's daddy!"
