Potty Training

When I get some time over the weekend I'll have to talk about our fabulous time with Paw-Paw and GJ~

I just wanted to say that Max is full steam ahead with potty training. Since Paw-Paw and GJ left we've had Max with no diaper (most of the time) while at home, except overnight. We've been taking him to the potty every hour or so and haven't had any accidents! He's very excited about pulling his pants up and down.

In the short time GJ was here she kicked the training into high gear! Something tells me that if GJ lived in Seattle Max would have been potty trained a year ago....much love to Judy!

For some reason I haven't felt an overwhelming desire to have him out of diapers in a hurry but the ball is rolling now.......He doesn't initiate going to the potty himself yet but obviously he's holding it between trips. I should have told ELDC a long time ago, Melissa was right on board and is charting his progress while he's at daycare. Yay!

Max the jester

Max is really becoming quite a character. He said a couple things the other day that were so funny, I thought we should document it:
  • I was driving home from the park with him, and telling him what we were going to have for dinner. I said, "Does that sound good?" and he replied "That sounds good to my mouth!"
  • He's had a cough the last couple days and I was giving him some Tylenol to help suppress it. As soon as he swallowed it, he proclaimed "I feel better already!" and then jumped down and said "I can fly!" and spread his arms like an airplane and ran into the living room.

Monkey Boy

Max is part child, part monkey these days. Like his best friend George he is curious about about every object , person or otherwise that crosses his sight. He is also beginning to use his imagination more which is a treat to see. We can pretend to be animals hunting, hiding and foraging through the house during the dark days of winter. He loves "Where the Wild Things Are" but I can't imagine any little boy named Max who wouldn't.

None of these pictures capture the full cuteness of "Maxi". I'm itchy to invest in a better camera.......our Saturday hygienist just quit and I'm thinking of picking up some weekend shifts to be able to swing it. We'll see..........
